Grief-stricken NYC mom laments shooting of 15-year-old son as 5 teens are fatally shot in less than a week

Sanders– an only kid that had actually simply started his freshman year at Boys and Girls High School, enjoyed “family, basketball and songs,” shaken mom Shanae Sanders told The Post in an exclusive Tuesday morning interview.

“He was an excellent youngster. He was a delighted young boy. He really did not deserve this,” Shanae Sanders recalled of her slain child as her legs rattled and she tapped her fingers on her thigh before nestling her face in her hands.

An additional 14-year-old– that has six prior busts and is wanted for 2 burglaries– was busted a short time later on and charged with tried murder, assault, criminal ownership of a weapon and careless endangerment, cops and sources claimed.

Police sources blamed the violence on the state’s controversial Elevate the Age regulation– established several years ago– which elevated the age of criminal responsibility to 18, and allowed for criminal accuseds to stay in adolescent centers as old as the age of 21.

“There needs to be extra submission in our family members court system,” one source stated. “The system put in place by the Raising the Age act has not properly prevented juveniles from dedicating abhorrent criminal activity. The very legislation indicated to protect the young remains in reality harming them.”

“I still can’t think it,” she said. “We are vacant within right now. She is just quiet and remains by herself.

“We had some [others] over for the weekend, they were with him,” she included. “They do not understand. They just know something is wrong but they do not know what. We are going to bring them over and inform them.”
