The dispute ignited in July 2022 when a viral video revealed a theme park character entertainer appearing to reject to communicate with or acknowledge 2 young black children during meet-and-greets and parades.

“The facts provided demonstrate that we treat our guests equally. We desire every visitor at our park to really feel invited and secure when they see us and to be able to see and feel facets of themselves in the experiences we produce,” an agent for the park told NBC 10.

“The entertainer portraying the Rosita personality has validated that the ‘no’ hand gesture seen numerous times in the video was not directed to any particular person, rather it was a reaction to multiple requests from someone in the group that asked Rosita to hold their child for a picture which is not allowed.”

The woman’s papa, Quinton Burns, was the one to submit a $25 million class-action claim against SeaWorld Parks, the owner of Sesame Place, for “pervasive and appalling race discrimination” after he asserted his child, Kennedi, was ignored.

A government jury in Philadelphia with one voice voted “no” on Wednesday after determining that SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment, the firm that owns the Pennsylvania-based amusement park, was not liable for any type of misdeed, according to NBC 10.
