    Raymond Lopez– alderman for Chicago’s 15th Ward– fears rhetoric from leaders like Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker and Mayor Brandon Johnson is pressing the city and the nation to an unsafe area that there may be no returning from.

    “If we’re not mosting likely to allow police to shield [ICE] and keep the peace with our homeowners, then the president of the United States most definitely is mosting likely to take that action,” he said. “We can not have our population assuming that they can occupy arms against the federal government and experience no repercussions.”
