NFL Player Lee Faces Death Penalty for Murder While on Probation

Former NFL player Lee, on probation for aggravated assault, faces the death penalty in Tennessee for the alleged murder of Gabriella Carvalho Perpétuo. Prosecutors cite extensive blood evidence, while Lee claimed narcolepsy. His probation was set to end soon.
The outside linebacker, who played 5 periods in the organization, was on probation for a worsened assault with a lethal weapon sentence in Florida, and transferred to Tennessee without approval from his probation officer.
Lee, who was selected by the Jets with the No. 20 choice in the 2016 NFL Draft, apparently called authorities to your home beyond Chattanooga and told police officers that Perpétuo struggled with narcolepsy and must have dropped in the shower.
Lee’s Probation & Initial Defense
Lee’s protection group had pushed for bond. Yet Area Attorney Coty Wamp effectively suggested Lee presented a significant danger and should not obtain bond. She noted that if Lee had actually completed court-ordered anger administration courses, his probation would certainly have ended 3 days after PerpĂ©tuo’s death.
“There was blood going up the staircase, on the hand barrier there was blood, on the wall surfaces there was blood, on the floor in the living room there was blood, in the floor on the corridor and the staircases,” he proceeded.
Death Penalty Sought Amidst Gruesome Evidence
Prosecutors claimed they are seeking the death sentence as they revealed that there was “blood in just about every room”– including in an auto in the garage– when Lee allegedly beat Gabriella Carvalho PerpĂ©tuo to fatality at a home in Tennessee.
